Our story
Bolina started with a simple frustration: the people responsible for boats — owners, managers, charter operators — were running serious assets on a tangle of spreadsheets, group chats, and paperwork scattered across drawers and inboxes.
We watched fleet managers lose two full days every month just assembling owner reports. We saw maintenance slip because a reminder lived in someone’s head. We saw charter revenue that nobody could reconcile until the season was over.
So we built Bolina — one platform that holds the documentation, scheduling, maintenance, charter coordination, financials, and owner reporting for every vessel, in one place. Purpose-built for maritime, elegant enough that people actually want to use it, and trustworthy enough to run a business on.
Why “Bolina”?
In sailing, bolina is the art of sailing close to the wind — navegar à bolina — holding a precise, controlled course upwind where most boats would stall. It takes skill, trim, and constant attention to detail.
That felt like the right name for what we do: keeping a fleet on a tight, deliberate course, no matter how the conditions change. Precision over chaos, control over guesswork.
